Beijing, May 15 /Xinhua/ — Chairman of the CPC Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump held a meeting in a small group on Friday in Beijing.
The meeting took place the day after Xi Jinping held negotiations with D. Trump, who was on an official visit to China from May 13 to 15.
Noting that D. Trump’s visit was historic and momentous, Xi Jinping stated that both sides have defined the status of Sino-American relations as constructive, strategic, and stable.
“We have reached an important consensus on maintaining the stability of trade and economic relations, expanding practical cooperation in various spheres, and the proper regulation of issues causing concern to each party,” said Xi Jinping.
According to Xi Jinping, both sides have also agreed to strengthen contacts and coordination on international and regional issues.
