Kyiv, May 15 /Xinhua/ — Ambassador Ma Shikun of the PRC in Ukraine visited the Zakarpattia region in the west of the country on May 13-14. This was reported on Thursday by the press service of the Chinese diplomatic mission on its WeChat social media page.
During the visit, the ambassador held negotiations with the head of the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration, Myroslav Biletsky, and the mayor of Uzhhorod, Bohdan Andreev.
The parties discussed in detail the China-Ukraine relations and cooperation in such areas as trade, agriculture, industrial parks, culture, and education, noting this at the Embassy of the PRC.
M. Biletsky, in turn, stated in ‘Telegram’ that at the meeting Ma Shenkun was familiarized with the priority areas of cooperation of the Zakarpattia region with investors, as well as with the key projects of the region in the field of healthcare and the modernization of vocational education.
