Zhun Haizhu is originally from Wuchuan (near the city of Chaozhou in Guangdong province), born in 2001. With the help of data and artificial intelligence, he sells slippers made in his hometown on foreign markets. Wuchuan is called the “capital of plastic footwear in China.” Zhun Haizhu hopes to help local products better enter the global market.

He is currently a fourth-year student at Shenzhen University. In 2025, he started his business. In less than a year, he and his team exported 250 thousand pairs of slippers to the USA, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and other countries, with revenue exceeding 3 million yuan.

He noted that on foreign platforms, even the most ordinary slippers are sold at a fairly high price, while at home he has a mature production chain. He came to the conclusion that the matter is not only in the novelty of the product, but also in the “information gap.” With a startup capital of 300 thousand yuan, he assembled a team, attracted buyers through short videos and cross-border electronic platforms, and the orders were fulfilled by factories in his hometown.

At the initial stage, factories did not trust the young team much. The turning point was a model of slippers that sold poorly within China. After analysis with the help of AI and market study, the team discovered that this model was very promising abroad. Indeed, the product quickly became popular. The team helped the factory sell all the stock and brought in more than 100 thousand yuan of profit. After this, factories began to actively consult with the team when planning production.

There are only 11 people in the Jun Haizhu team, mostly young people from the 2000s, three work full-time, the rest work part-time, most of them are classmates of Jun Haizhu from Shenzhen University. Team members have a clear division of responsibilities, covering content creation, customer analysis, logistics, and interaction with factories. The team has also created an intelligent business system using data and AI to make decisions.

He has already registered a company and is preparing to create his own brand. The goal for 2026 is to increase revenue fivefold. In the future, he also plans to create a separate team that will provide “consultant services for entering foreign markets” for local shoe factories, helping the traditional industry of the native region to master new sales markets.
