The number of fraudulent transactions reported by clients to banks totaled 495,800, with the total amount of funds sought at 7.4 billion rubles. At the same time, a reduction in financial losses among individuals is observed — by 10.2% compared to the same indicator for the fourth quarter of 2025.
In relation to legal entities, a high intensity of computer attacks using malicious software was recorded in the first quarter. Typically, employees of organizations received emails with files, upon opening which criminals would gain remote access to corporate systems. This allowed fraudsters to transfer money to controlled accounts under the guise of ordinary business transactions.
During this period, the Bank of Russia initiated the blocking of 10,500 fraudulent websites and social media pages, and also sent information about 8,300 phone numbers used by malicious actors to communication operators.
