Cairo, May 13 /Xinhua/ — The conference on Chinese-Arab partnership, a key event within the framework of the Global South High-Level Media and Analytics Centers Forum, concluded here on Wednesday with the adoption of a final document aimed at developing cooperation in the media field between China and Arab countries.
According to the document, the participating parties agreed to strengthen cooperation between Chinese and Arab media organizations and analytical centers, promote the role of the media in maintaining peace and expand practical cooperation in various fields.
The document also contains calls for the creation of a common media narrative and strengthening cooperation in the field of media technology and digital transformation. In addition, a number of specific initiatives in the field of cooperation were proposed.
The conference is held at the initiative of the “Network of Communication Partnership and Cooperation of Media and Analytical Centers of the Global South,” launched by the Xinhua News Agency in 2024. The initiative has rapidly expanded and today unites more than 1000 media outlets, analytical centers, government institutions, and international organizations from 95 countries and regions worldwide.
The conference in Cairo, jointly organized by China and the League of Arab States, was aimed at deepening mutual learning, promoting consensus on development issues, and building a high-level China-Arab community with a shared future.
About 250 representatives from around 110 media outlets, analytical centers, government institutions, enterprises from China and Arab countries, as well as international and regional organizations participated in the event.
