The “Vyzhino” gallery of the “Exhibition Halls of Moscow” association invites you to the exhibition “Russian Abroad.” The authors of the project explore the phenomenon of Russian identity in the works of 20th-century émigré artists: how a cultural code is preserved and influences art beyond the homeland. The exhibition features original lithographs by masters of the Paris school: Andrey Lanskoy, Nicolas de Stäel, Serge Poliakoff, Sonia Delaunay.
A key exhibit is the lithographs of Andrey Lanskoy for Nikolai Gogol’s “Diary of a Madman.” They reveal a characteristic feature of Russian culture — an interest in borderline states of consciousness.
The exhibition features lithographs from Mikhail Koryagin’s personal collection.
