Kyiv, May 11 /Sinyua/ — The Coordination Headquarters of Ukraine on Prisoner of War Affairs has handed over to Russia a list of individuals for an exchange of prisoners by the formula 1000 for 1000. This was announced on Sunday evening in his address by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, whose words were quoted by his press service.

V. Zelensky noted that the prisoner exchange is at the preparation stage and should be carried out. The USA acted as an intermediary in reaching the corresponding agreements with the Russian side, therefore official Kiev expects that Washington will help ensure their implementation.

On May 8, V. Zelensky stated that Russia, within the framework of the negotiation process mediated by the USA, agreed to conduct a prisoner exchange with Ukraine on a 1000 for 1000 basis, and also to establish a ceasefire from May 9 to May 11.
