Madrid, May 9 /Xin Hua/ — Spanish health authorities on Friday identified a second person who came into contact with an infected individual linked to the outbreak of the coronavirus on the cruise liner MV Hondius. The person in question is a woman living in Catalonia, who flew on the same flight as the Dutchman who died from the coronavirus.

The Spanish Coordination Center for the Prevention of Emergencies in the health injury field reported that the woman has no symptoms. Medical authorities did not immediately track her, since she changed seats on the plane.

According to health authorities, the woman meets the criteria of a detected contact in accordance with the recently approved national protocol of epidemiological surveillance and will be under medical supervision.
