Washington, May 8 /Xin Hua/ — American military on Friday withdrew two more vessels under the Iranian flag from the formation to an Iranian port in the Gulf of Oman amidst an ongoing blockade of Iranian ports by the United States. This was reported by the Central Command of the U.S. Armed Forces on social media X.

“The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has implemented blockade measures against two unloaded oil tankers flying the Iranian flag, attempting to enter an Iranian port in the Oman Gulf,” the publication states.

As indicated by CENTCOM, the F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jet of the US Navy, launched from the aircraft carrier “George Bush,” took both tankers out of action by releasing precision munitions into their smoke stacks. –0–
