Minsk, May 7 /Xin Hua/ — At the Belarusian-Egyptian business forum, which took place on Thursday in Minsk, representatives of the business circles of the two countries signed contracts totaling 6.5 million US dollars. Corresponding information was published by the press service of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

About 150 representatives of Belarusian and Egyptian businesses participated in the forum. They presented their products and discussed the implementation of joint projects. The event was organized as part of the visit to Belarus by the Minister of Investment and External Trade of Egypt, Mohamed Farid Saleh, and for participation in the meeting of the Belarusian-Egyptian joint trade commission.

As indicated by the Deputy Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus, Oleg Dikun, the two countries have fairly intensive cooperation. According to him, in 2025 the turnover between Belarus and Egypt reached 110 million dollars.

M. F. Salev, in turn, emphasized that the interaction of business representatives of two countries will strengthen the economic partnership between the states, “based on mutual trust and a common modernization agenda.”
