The volume of gold transactions on the precious metals market of the Moscow Exchange in April 2026 increased more than 2.5 times compared to April of the previous year to 412 billion rubles and amounted to 35.5 tons (25.1 tons in swap transactions and 10.4 tons in spot transactions).
The volume of silver trades amounted to 42.9 tons (8.5 billion), platinum – 208 kg (1.5 billion), palladium – 129 kg (472.5 million).
The total number of transactions in the precious metals market of the Moscow Exchange increased by almost one and a half times compared to April 2025, reaching 286 thousand.
The share of private investors in gold trading amounted to 7%, silver – 48%, platinum – 31%, palladium – 40%.
The number of individual investors who made transactions in the precious metals market of the Moscow Exchange in April 2026 increased by 26% compared to last year’s figure and amounted to almost 35.7 thousand people.
The total trading volume on the precious metals market last month amounted to 421 billion ½.
