The Educational Center for Project-Based Learning (ECPBL) of the Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering has become a platform for the advanced training program “Technologies for Organizing Project-Based Learning at Universities,” developed by specialists from Moscow Polytechnic University.
The following have completed qualification upgrades:

deans of faculties;

deputy deans for career guidance work;
-
teachers who act as curators of teams within the framework of the elective course “Project Activity”;

Employees of the SPC SPBGASU.
Colleagues from MPU shared their experience of project activities at their university, talked about the regulatory and legal support of the work of the Project Activity Center (PAC), the formation of curricula and the workload on PAC teachers. Seminar participants discussed the life cycle of projects, the development of projects in groups, and their defense. In practical exercises, they analyzed options for organizing project activities in various situations.
According to the deputy director of the OCPONatalia Zaitseva,The program proved to be very useful: “Such courses help to understand how important project work is within the educational process, establish interaction between departments and subdivisions, exchange experiences, and thus organize students’ project activities in a maximally qualitative and effective way.”
“Within the framework of project activities, we provide students with the opportunity to develop not only professional skills but also communication competencies, as well as gain practical experience on the university grounds. This helps graduates compete in the labor market. Having familiarized ourselves with the experience of Moscow Polytechnic, we realized that SPbGASU is moving in the right direction and we have something to strive for,” noted the director of the OTsPO.Inna Sulanova.
Currently, active preparations are underway at OCPO SPBGASU for the new academic year: organizers are selecting interesting and diverse projects for the students.
