Yangon, May 2 /Xin Hua/ — 16 people died and another 21 were injured as a result of the overturning of a six-wheeled truck carrying bamboo, on Saturday in Myanmar’s capital Naypyidaw. This was reported by the Myanmar Fire Service Department.
The accident occurred around 13:50 local time in the Ottara Tiri area after the driver lost control of the truck while driving at high speed, the report says.
It is noted that at the time of the accident, there were 38 people on board the vehicle.
Employees of the local fire service and rescue organizations delivered the deceased and injured to the main hospital in Neipido, added in the department. –0–
