Dushanbe, May 2 /Sina News/ — On Friday evening in the city of Kulyab, Khatlon Region of Tajikistan, after prolonged precipitation, a mudflow occurred, resulting in the death of three people, and three others were hospitalized. This was reported by the press service of the President of Tajikistan on Saturday.
As a result of the flooding, some roads, structures, and residential buildings in certain parts of the city were flooded.
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon expressed condolences on Saturday to the families of the deceased and instructed the country’s Prime Minister, the heads of Khatlon region and the State Commission for Emergency Situations to immediately go to the scene to provide assistance to the victims and assess the damage caused. –0–
