Kyiv, May 1 /Sin^ ua/ — In the Lviv region in western Ukraine, a passenger train collided with a crane truck, which resulted in the deaths of two people. This was reported on Friday in the “Telegram” by the company “Ukrzaliznytsia” — the operator of the Ukrainian railways.
The crane truck driver drove onto the crossing despite the traffic light’s red signals and caused a collision with the train. The train driver died on the spot, the crane truck driver died on the way to the hospital. The train driver’s assistant was hospitalized with serious injuries.
According to local media, at the moment of the accident around 400 passengers were on the train. None of them were injured.
