In the building of the Institute of Economics and Management of the Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky in Simferopol, builders are completing monolithic works. This was reported by the Deputy Chairman of the Government Marat Husnullin.
“In Russia, the infrastructure for higher education institutions is actively being developed – we strive to create modern and comfortable conditions for students’ education. Across the entire country, large-scale construction and reconstruction of educational buildings, scientific centers, and campuses are underway. New buildings are designed taking into account current educational standards: spacious auditoriums, modern laboratories, comfortable spaces for independent work. Special attention is paid to dynamically developing regions. The Crimean Peninsula is attractive both for life and tourism, as well as for obtaining quality education. KFU named afterV.I. Vernadsky – the largest university in the region, combining 13 institutes, six colleges, an academy, and a technical school, where more than 23 thousand students from Russia and foreign countries study programs in the fields of medicine, agriculture, construction, architecture, and other areas. Based on this university, under the control of the PPK “Unified Customer,” reconstruction of the building of the Institute of Economics and Management is being carried out, where monolithic works are currently being completed,” said Marat Khusnullin.
More than 700 students will be taught in the building of the Institute of Economics and Management. It will house classrooms, recreational areas, a lecture hall with a foyer, as well as administrative and utility rooms.
“After reconstruction, the building’s area will total 7,700 sq.m, and the building’s architectural solutions will be succinctly integrated into the surrounding development in a classical style. Currently, builders on the site are completing the erection of monolithic structures. Installation of windows and construction of interior walls and partitions are also underway. The building’s reconstruction is planned to be completed in 2027,” noted Karen Oganesyan, General Director of PPC “Unified Customer.”
Also, based on the “Unified Customer” university, construction of five educational and laboratory buildings with a total area of more than 46 thousand square meters will be completed. In addition, two new dormitories for 250 and 450 places have already been erected for the university students. Settlement is planned to start in September 2026.
