From July 6 to August 21, the 4th Postgres Pro Summer School will take place, organized by the SUBD Laboratory of the Faculty of Information Technology at NGU.
This year, the organizers have extended the duration of the Summer School and expanded the program.
In the educational track, they will talk about:
- Internal PostgreSQL device;
- Performance study;
- Use of AI in the task SUBD;
- file and network subsystem of Linux;
- Containers and virtual machines.
On the practical track you:
- Apply the acquired knowledge to solve real-world tasks of the company Postgres Professional;
- gain experience in teamwork;
- get recommendations from industry experts;
- present the results at the closing conference.
What’s next:
- Practice in the SUBD FIT NGU Laboratory;
- bringing the project to the state of “ready for use”;
- Participation in the MINSK conference, PGConf, and more;
- VK protection.
Requirements:
- knowledge of basic algorithms and data structures
- basic knowledge of the structure of the Linux OS;
- Proficiency in programming languages C, Go, Python (two out of the three);
- Honesty, responsibility, and organization;
- Laptop with Linux OS.
Participants of the Summer School receive a stipend. Classes will be held in the new modern Postgres Pro office at 7 Inzhenernaya St.
