Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order approving the scheme of territorial planning of Russia in the field of federal transport and federal highways, replacing the existing document which has become outdated.
A new document has been developed taking into account the provisions of the Transport Strategy of Russia until 2030 with a forecast until 2036 and the state program “Development of the Transport System”, national projects “Effective Transport System” and “Infrastructure for Life”, the six-year road activity plan, and a number of industry departmental acts.
The updated scheme includes 158 road facilities and 167 facilities of railway, air, sea, and inland water transport that are planned to be reconstructed or built in various regions of the country. Among them are railway lines and stations, airports, aerodromes and landing sites, sea terminals, ship locks, ship lifts and hydropower plants, federal highways and separate sections of such roads. The document contains information about the purpose, main characteristics, and location of these facilities.
The amount of funds required for construction and reconstruction will be determined when making decisions on the direction of federal budget investments for these purposes within the framework of forming the federal budget project for the next fiscal year and the planned period. The implementation of the planned measures will contribute to improving the efficiency of Russia’s transport system.
