More than 36 thousand quotation sessions on the suppliers’ portal were held by customers from the capital in the first quarter of 2026. This was reported byMaria Bagreeva, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, head of the capital’s Department of Economic Policy and Development.

“Quotation sessions” are a convenient purchasing format for all participants: entrepreneurs gain access to a larger number of orders, which gives them the opportunity to scale their business, while customers benefit from this format by saving budgetary funds. In the first quarter of 2026, more than 36 thousand quotation sessions took place on the supplier portal. On average, seven entrepreneurs competed for one contract. Thanks to high competition, the average price reduction during the procedure was 14 percent. The most in-demand categories were construction goods — 3,600 contracts were concluded for their purchase, as well as household and medical products — 3,200 and 2,700 deals respectively,” said Maria Bagreeva.

The quotation session is a mini-auction lasting three, six, or 24 hours, during which participants compete with each other, sequentially lowering the initial maximum contract price. The winner is the entrepreneur who offered the lowest cost.

“Entrepreneurs from all regions of Russia can participate in the quotation sessions on the supplier portal. As a result of the first quarter of 2026, the most active supplier regions included Moscow, Moscow Oblast, Rostov Oblast, Saint Petersburg, and Krasnodar Krai. There were 27 thousand transactions — 75 percent of the total number,” added the head of the capital’s Department of Competitive Policy.

In particular, they actively use an automated bidding bot—a convenient online tool that allows participation simultaneously in several quotation sessions. In addition, on the portal, customers can purchase identical products through joint quotation sessions. Thanks to this, state and municipal institutions of the capital can consolidate their needs and, due to increased purchase volumes, attract more suppliers to the sessions.
