More than 36 thousand quotation sessions on the supplier portal were conducted by customers from the capital in the first quarter of 2026. This was reported byMaria Bagreeva, deputy Mayor of Moscow, head of the capital’s Department of Economic Policy and Development.

“Quotation sessions” are a convenient procurement format for all participants: entrepreneurs gain access to a larger number of orders, which allows them to scale their business, and for customers such format helps save budget funds. In the first quarter of 2026, more than 36 thousand quotation sessions were held on the supplier portal. On average, seven entrepreneurs competed for one contract. Thanks to high competition, the average price reduction during the procedure was 14 percent. The most in-demand categories were construction goods — with 3.6 thousand contracts concluded for purchases, as well as agricultural and medical products — 3.2 and 2.7 thousand transactions respectively,” said Mariya Bagreeva.

The quotation session is a mini-auction lasting three, six or 24 hours, in which participants compete against each other by gradually lowering the initial maximum contract price. The winner is the entrepreneur who offers the lowest cost.

“Entrepreneurs from all regions of Russia can participate in the quotation sessions on the supplier portal. According to the results of the first quarter of 2026, among the most active supplier regions were Moscow, Moscow and Rostov regions, Saint Petersburg, and the Krasnodar Krai. 27 thousand transactions were concluded — 75 percent of the total number,” added the head of the capital’s Department for Competition Policy.

In particular, they actively use an automatic bidding bot — a convenient online tool that enables participation simultaneously in several quotation sessions. In addition, on the portal, customers can purchase identical products through joint quotation sessions. Thanks to this, state and municipal institutions of the capital can unite their needs and, due to the increased purchase volume, attract more suppliers to the sessions.
