How can a schoolchild not just choose a profession, but start building their own project already today? This was discussed on April 27 at the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia at the Round Table “Tools for Developing Entrepreneurial Thinking in Schoolchildren: Forming an Educational Trajectory for Future Technological Leaders.”
The main idea of the meeting is that future leaders need to be involved in real tasks starting from school. The university in this system does not wait for the applicant, but helps them to go through the path from the olympiad and project work to the startup and team.
“The guys are not just trying themselves as entrepreneurs, but are already creating projects in priority sectors of the modern economy,” noted the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Olga Petrova.
The Director of the Project Office of the Ministry of Education and Science, Olga Serebryannikova, noted that it is important to build a clear development trajectory for schoolchildren. “From the Olympiads, they must move on to working in teams and creating real products,” she emphasized, speaking about the necessity of early involvement in practical activities.
The rector of the State University of Management, Vladimir Stroyev, took part in the discussion. He spoke on the topic of training leaders and teams as a result of education and on the new approach to personnel training jointly with industrial partners.
The round table also became the final event of the second season of the All-Russian Schoolchildren’s Entrepreneurship Olympiad. This season, it united 12,757 high school students from all over Russia. Participants underwent training, solved business cases, worked with mentors, and presented projects in the fields of technology, ecology, education, social support, and business.
At the end of the season, 27 winning teams were determined. They receive up to 10 additional points upon admission, access to internships, acceleration programs, and support from Olympiad partners.
GUU supports an approach in which personnel training begins before admission to the university — through practice, teamwork, and participation of industrial partners.
