“Samotlorneftegaz,” one of the key production assets of Rosneft, has increased the efficiency of well repair through the introduction of a flexible steel-polymer pipe of Russian manufacture.
The use of modern polymer coatings in pipe construction ensures a reduction in heat loss during operations to melt hydrocarbon-paraffin deposits in the well. Additionally, it increases the service life of the equipment and its maintainability.
The use of flexible steel-polymer pipes allowed for a 10% reduction in operating costs during wellbore unloading operations, and a 12% reduction in equipment installation and dismantling time. The number of involved specialists has been reduced; the remaining specialists are used to perform other types of repair work.
The new technology makes it possible to develop a larger number of wells for carrying out technical measures to increase oil production.
Rosneft prioritizes innovation activities and defines technological leadership as a key factor of competitiveness in the oil market. The implementation of domestic technologies is part of the Company’s systematic work on modernizing production processes and introducing modern engineering solutions.
