Moscow supported the holding of the XV Interregional Creative Festival of Slavic Art “Russian Field.” The corresponding decree was signed by Sergey Sobyanin.

The festival will take place on the territory of Victory Park on Poklonnaya Hill on August 22. It is dedicated to the Year of National Unity of the Peoples of Russia, declared by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

The largest folklore festival in the capital will bring together people who are in love with the country’s history, its songs, folk crafts, and decorative-applied arts. It is expected that this year the event will gather about two thousand participants, and the guests will number no less than 150 thousand people, for whom several thematic festival venues will operate.

The ceremonial part will be held on the main stage (“Musical Square”). Invited artists, professional and amateur vocal and dance groups will perform for the guests. The climax of the celebration will be a concert by the Bolshoi Russian Choir.

At the “Regions Square,” individual tents of manufacturers and artisans from various regions of the country will showcase their works, conduct master classes on making unique folk craft items. In the “Fashion Row,” designers will show their collections of Russian and ethnic costumes, and at the fair, visitors will not only be able to see but also purchase items they like.

At the sites “Sytniy Dvor” and “Natsionalnaya Kukhnya”, you will be able to try products of gastronomic brands from various regions of Russia.

The new festival venue “Glade of Traditions” will become a place of communication, joy, and folk memory. Guests will see performances by folk ensembles and folk groups featuring thematic interactive plays enriched with everyday life, rituals, and the culture of the peoples of Russia.

At the “Art Quarter” site, plein airs, master classes, and entertainment programs will take place. The poetic contest of contemporary authors and readers “My land — my word,” dedicated to the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia, will be held at the “Poetic Settlement” site.

The interactive area “Field of Glory” this year will be dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the beginning of the Soviet troops’ counteroffensive in 1941.

According to the established tradition, a “Children’s Amusements” area will be opened for the young guests of the festival — with rides, animation, and various entertainments.

As in previous years, the festival program includes creative competitions, based on the results of which winners will be determined in the nominations “Best dance group,” “Best choreographic group,” “Best vocal and choreographic group,” “Best folk ensemble,” “Best folk craftsman,” “Best manufacturer,” and “Best clothing collection.” In addition, a poetry competition “My land – my word” and a folk rites competition “The power of tradition” will take place.

For spectators who will not be able to attend the festival venues in person, a live broadcast of key events will be organized on the official websitepolerusskoe.ru, in social networks“VKontakte”иOdnoklassniki, and also on the portal“Kultur.rf”.
