Moscow, April 2 /TASS/ — Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with the Crown Prince, Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud. During the conversation, the parties discussed joint work on stabilizing the global oil market. This was reported by the Kremlin press service on Thursday.

“Emphasis is placed on the importance of the joint work conducted with the participation of Russia and Saudi Arabia in the format of ‘OPEC Plus’ to stabilize the global oil market,” the statement says.

In the course of the conversation, the parties noted that the problems with the extraction and transportation of energy resources that have arisen as a result of the crisis in the Middle East negatively affect global energy security.
