Vladivostok, April 27 /Xin Hua/ — A photo exhibition dedicated to achievements in modernization in Chinese style was held on Monday in the Russian city of Vladivostok. The event was attended by more than 300 people, including representatives of political, business, and academic circles of Primorsky Krai RF, as well as diplomats from various countries and representatives of the Chinese diaspora abroad.
The exhibition featured about 30 carefully selected photographs from the information agency Xinhua, demonstrating historical and innovative achievements of Chinese modernization in various fields, such as economy, science and technology, military affairs, culture, ecology, and everyday life of people, as well as exchanges between Chinese and Russian youth.
The Governor of Primorsky Krai, RF, Oleg Kozhemyako, and the Consul General of the PRC in Vladivostok, Wu Demin, together inspected the exhibition. O. Kozhemyako noted that the sequence, including the tradition, created the prerequisites for the grand growth of the Chinese economy. According to him, China is a trade partner and a friendly country with which Primorye has long-standing and very strong relations. Currently, 70% of the region’s foreign trade turnover is accounted for precisely by China. In addition, Chinese companies implement more than 60 investment projects in the region.
Deming stated that Chinese modernization opens up new development opportunities for Russia. As he recalled, in 2026 the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Russia partnership and strategic interaction relations will be celebrated, the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation between the PRC and the Russian Federation, and the cross Years of China-Russia education will also begin, which provides important opportunities for deepening cooperation and strengthening friendship.The Chinese diplomat noted that Primorsky Krai is located at the forefront of Sino-Russian cooperation, possessing a unique geographical position and obvious advantages, being one of the key centers for interregional exchange, one of the main channels for trade and economic exchange, and an important link in cultural and humanitarian exchange between the two countries.
