Chengdu, April 25 /Xinhua/ — Five people died and two were injured as a result of a fire in a residential building in the Shuangliu district of Chengdu city, the administrative center of Sichuan province /Southwest China/, the district fire rescue service reported on Saturday.
A report about a fire was received by the dispatch center of the fire service of the city of Chengdu on Saturday at 0:49, and by 1:09 the open flame at the scene was extinguished. The causes of the fire are currently under investigation. -0-
