Beijing, April 25 /Xinhua/ — The initiative to invite 50,000 young Americans to China for participation in exchange and training programs over five years, proposed by the Chairman of the NPC Xi Jinping in 2023, has been effectively implemented, according to a report by an analytical center published on Saturday.
As of early December 2025, more than 42 thousand American young people and teenagers have visited China as part of this initiative, according to a report titled “Education in China: Contribution to Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind.”
They represented more than 500 schools and institutions from all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, having visited 31 regions at the provincial level, as well as the special administrative districts of Xianggang and Aomen, it adds in the report.
The report was presented by the Institute of Xinjiang, an analytical center at the state level under the Xinjiang Information Agency.
