Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin held a working meeting with the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aisen Nikolaev, during which they discussed the socio-economic development of the region.
“In Yakutia, complex infrastructure development tasks are being consistently addressed, which is especially important for such a large region in the Far East. The republic shows growth in housing construction: according to last year’s results, more than 809 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned — 7.6% more than in 2024. It is important to consider this dynamic early, enhance the urban development potential, and more actively involve lands for comprehensive territorial development. Work should also continue to bring roads into regulatory condition, especially within the framework of the backbone network.””I am confident that thanks to well-coordinated work, the region will cope with all the tasks,” said Marat Khusnullin.
The total length of motor roads in the republic is 31.8 thousand km, of which 51.8% are in standard condition. Within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life,” work continues on the renewal of the road surface. By 2026, the planned indicator for the share of regional roads in standard condition in Yakutia is 79.4%.
A number of infrastructure projects are also being implemented. In 2025, treasury infrastructure loans totaling approximately 11 billion rubles were approved for the region.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of road construction, comprehensive development of territories, social infrastructure, and modernization of housing and communal services.
“The development of housing construction is impossible without timely and well-thought-out infrastructural solutions. Therefore, it is especially important for us that at the meeting, support was expressed for approaches related to the improvement of mechanisms for technological connection. Such solutions are capable of removing systemic restrictions, accelerating the development of new microdistricts, and reducing the cost of infrastructural preparation of construction sites, which means, overall, making housing construction cheaper and new projects more accessible to people.”I thank Marat Shakirzanovich Khusnullin for supporting this and other issues that have strategic importance for Yakutia and practical value for the regions of Russia,” noted the head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Aysen Nikolaev.
