Islamabad, April 24 /Xinhua/ — Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar held a phone conversation on Friday with the head of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security Abbas Araghchi, emphasizing the importance of constant dialogue and cooperation to resolve unresolved issues in order to achieve peace and stability in the region as soon as possible.
The statement from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that both sides exchanged views on the situation in the region, including a ceasefire and Islamabad’s mediation efforts.
According to the statement, A. Araghi highly appreciated Pakistan’s consistent and constructive role in supporting diplomatic efforts.
