Beijing, April 22 /Xin Hua/ — Negative steps in Japan related to the Yasukuni Shrine constitute an outrageous provocation against international justice and a gross violation of human conscience, said the official representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Geng Shuang, on Wednesday, adding that China expresses deep indignation and serious condemnation in this regard.
Go Ujiyaku made this statement at another departmental press conference, responding to a request to comment on the report that an interparty group of 126 Japanese lawmakers visited the sadly well-known Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo, which is considered a symbol of Japanese militarism and military aggression. -0-
