Beijing, April 22 /Xinhua/ — Recently, the 5th China-Russia festival for cultural and sports exchange in the field of health-improving Qigong gymnastics was held in the city of Manzhouli of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region /Northern China/, located on the border of China and Russia. The festival attracted more than 300 Chinese and about 200 Russian Qigong enthusiasts, according to a statement posted on the official website of the Manzhouli city administration.

The organizers of the above-mentioned event were the Association of Wushu, Fitness and Qigong of the city of Manzhouli and the local travel agency “Iu”. About 200 Russian participants represented the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Republic of Buryatia.

Three experienced Chinese trainers were invited to the festival, and a support team was also created, consisting of volunteers, medics, translators, and safety personnel, in order to create a barrier-free and high-quality platform for training Chinese and Russian gymnastics Qigong enthusiasts.

During the festival, more than 300 Chinese and Russian Qigong gymnastics enthusiasts performed on one stage, executing the ancient health-improving Qigong complex Ba-Duan-Jin / Eight Pieces of Brocade / and providing an ideal combination of fitness functions and the artistic spectacle of Qigong gymnastics movements.
