At the Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University of Peter the Great, the first lecture from the Petersburg Tractor Plant (PTZ) took place on the topic “The history of the development of the rationalization movement at the Kirov Plant” for students of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering, materials, and transport.

The lecture was given by the head of the Rationalization and Quality Department of PTZ Alexey Kabanov. He told the audience about how, throughout the 225-year history of the enterprise, engineering ideas were born that propelled production forward, and about an employee whose rationalization decisions changed the work of the entire plant.

The meeting allowed participants to get closer acquainted with the activities of one of the country’s oldest machine-building enterprises,” — emphasized Aleksey Kabanov.

The honorary guest of the event was Sergey Redko, Director of the Higher School of Project Activities and Innovations in Industry at IMMIT.

Students of SPbPU and the Baltic State Technical University “VOENMEH” named after D. F. Ustinov attended the lecture. For many of them, such events become the first step toward subsequent practice or internship at an enterprise.
