Federal medical organizations will be able to provide large families with a measure of social support for the free provision of medicines to children up to 6 years old. The resolution on this was signed by the Chairman of the Government, Mikhail Mishustin.

The speech is about medications from the list of vital and essential medicines (VEML), including antibiotics, painkillers, and antipyretics, prescribed by a doctor’s prescription.

Commentary

Previously, obtaining a preferential prescription and receiving such medications for a child under 6 years old by large families was only possible through a regional medical organization. Now, this will be possible even in a polyclinic of federal subordination, if the child is registered there. The decision will simplify the process of issuing and receiving free medications for large families whose children are served by a federal medical organization.

“We assume that this measure will be convenient for large families,” noted Mikhail Mishustin onmeeting with the vice-premiers on April 20.

Work is being carried out within the framework of the implementation of the Presidential Decree “On measures of social support for large families”.
