On the Crimean Peninsula, in Yevpatoria, work has been completed on another facility of the under-construction Federal Children’s Rehabilitation Center – the beach area intended for the rest and recovery of patients has been improved. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

“In the Republic of Crimea, by the order of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, one of the largest rehabilitation centers in the country is being built with a total area of about 100 thousand square meters. It is intended for the treatment and rehabilitation of children with diseases of the nervous system, musculoskeletal system, somatic and other diseases. Despite the difficult conditions both on the peninsula and in the country as a whole, work on the facility continues, and to date specialists have completed the landscaping of the beach area, necessary for children’s recreation by the sea and the conduct of wellness activities,” said Marat Khusnullin.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that one of the key principles of improvement was ensuring the accessibility of beach infrastructure for patients with limited mobility, including children with disabilities. The organization of the area takes into account their mobility features and the need for accompaniment.

The completion of the beach improvement became another important stage in the implementation of the large-scale project to create a children’s rehabilitation center by the “Single Customer in the Construction Sector.”

“The improved beach will become not only a place for relaxation but also an additional space for conducting wellness activities within the framework of individual medical rehabilitation programs. The opportunity to stay in the fresh sea air, favorable climatic conditions, and natural features of the western coast of Crimea will contribute to the creation of a comprehensive recovery environment. Thus, the medical infrastructure of the center will be complemented by the possibilities of climatotherapy and health-improving rest on the Black Sea coast,” noted Karen Oganesyan, General Director of PPK ‘Unified Customer.’

The facilities of the first stage of the medical institution’s construction – the outpatient diagnostic building, inpatient buildings, and the administrative building – are already actively functioning. Treatment and rehabilitation are organized there across various medical fields, including rehabilitation of children after diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system.

The construction of the center is taking place on the combined territory of the former “Moynaki” mud treatment facility and the “Rodina” sanatorium. The project implementation is aimed at developing a modern system of pediatric medical rehabilitation and increasing the availability of specialized care for patients from various regions of Russia.

A similar federal children’s rehabilitation center is being constructed by PPK “Unified Customer” in the Novosibirsk region. Another institution of this profile has been operating since 2023 in Podolsk near Moscow.
