The development of modern roadside infrastructure continues on the federal highway M-12 “Vostok.” In the Republic of Bashkortostan, at the 1274th km of the highway in the direction of Yekaterinburg, a new multifunctional road service zone (MFZ) has opened. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

“The development of high-speed highways involves not only the construction of modern transport infrastructure but also the creation of comfortable conditions for motorists on the road. Multifunctional road service zones provide essential services and rest opportunities during the trip. In Bashkiria, a new MFZ has opened on the M-12 ‘Vostok’ towards Yekaterinburg. It will provide drivers and passengers with access to food services, rest, and sanitary facilities. We continue to work on developing such infrastructure on in-demand road routes,” noted Marat Khusnullin.

On the territory of the new multifunctional complex, a service building with a sales hall and cafe has been equipped. A changing table is provided for families with small children. Children’s play and workout equipment are installed in the recreation area.

A separate sanitary unit with showers has been equipped for truck drivers. Parking spaces are also provided for passenger cars, vehicles with trailers, and motorcycles. A covered parking area is organized for motorcycles.

“We are consistently developing roadside service infrastructure so that users of our highways can not only reach their destinations quickly and safely, but also rest comfortably on the road. When designing multifunctional zones, we take into account the needs of various categories of motorists—from families with children to professional drivers. With the opening of a new facility on the M-12 ‘Vostok,’ the total number of multifunctional roadside service zones on Avtodor’s road network has reached 141,” said Vyacheslav Petushenko, Chairman of the Board of the state company Avtodor.
