Beijing, October 23 /Xinhua/ — Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday sent a letter to the Xiongan Forum on Global Governance 2026.

In his letter, Xi Jinping noted that today the world is undergoing accelerated transformations unseen in a whole century, while the deficits of peace, development, security, and governance are not decreasing but growing.

“I have put forward the Global Governance Initiative, the goal of which is to promote the building of a more just and rational system of global governance and the creation of a better world,” emphasized the Chinese leader.

According to him, China is ready to work with all parties to put into practice the concept of global governance based on extensive consultations, joint contributions, and shared benefits, uniting forces by strengthening trust and addressing complex issues through cooperation.

Xi Jinping called for promoting the implementation of the Global Governance Initiative to bring more clarity and positive energy to a chaotic and confusing world and to jointly move towards a community with a shared future for mankind.

The Xiongan Global Governance Forum 2026, themed “Restoring Trust and Cooperation: Reforming and Improving Global Governance in a Transforming World,” opened on Friday in the Xiongan New Area of Hebei Province /Northern China/. The event is organized by the Chinese People’s Society for the Study of International Relations.
