The city of Jilin in the eponymous province in northeastern China is known as the “frost capital,” and the local frost is considered one of China’s four natural wonders. To make this unique natural phenomenon accessible to tourists regardless of the season, in February 2024, the Jilin Culture and Tourism Development Group established the first indoor frost laboratory in China at the all-season Beishan ski resort. At the end of December of the same year, the construction of the “Hundred-Meter Frost Gallery” was completed here.
The length of the gallery is 100 meters, the area is about 1,000 sq. m, and the maximum height reaches approximately 10 meters. Its central element is the “frost dome,” which creates the effect of immersion in the atmosphere of a winter kingdom. Thanks to this, visitors can admire frost at any time of the year.
