Construction and installation work has been completed in the building of the research center at the campus of Novosibirsk State University (NSU). The compliance certificate has already been obtained. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

“The creation of modern university campuses is a large-scale task aimed at developing the country’s scientific and educational infrastructure. By the President’s directive, we are forming a network of world-class campuses: creating a comfortable environment for studying, for the work of teachers and scientists, breakthrough research, and the implementation of innovations. A special emphasis is placed on a modern research base: this strengthens the scientific potential of the regions and is aimed at training highly qualified personnel. Thus, in Novosibirsk, the construction of a research center at the NSU campus has been completed. Currently, the facility is being prepared for commissioning. This is another important step in the development of one of the country’s leading scientific and educational centers,” said Marat Khusnullin.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that the research center building will house offices and laboratories for conducting research in the fields of medicine, chemistry, and biology. About 180 university staff members will work there.

The total area of the NSU campus is about 78 thousand square meters. The EPC contractor “Unified Customer” is implementing the second phase of construction of the student campus, which includes three facilities with a total area of about 40 thousand square meters. Among them are a building of lecture halls, an educational and scientific center, and a research center. The first two buildings are already in active operation.

“The implementation of the second phase of the campus is entering the final stage. The research center is planned to be put into operation by the end of 2026. The construction of such facilities contributes to the development of university infrastructure and the creation of necessary conditions for scientific activity,” said Karen Oganesyan, CEO of the PPK ‘Unified Customer.’

The construction of the campus in Novosibirsk is being carried out within the framework of the federal project “Creation of a network of modern campuses” and the national project “Youth and Children” by order of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the Government. Four more campuses are currently being built by the specialists of the EPC “Unified Customer” in Kaliningrad, Oryol, Smolensk, and Moscow.
