First Deputy Chairman of the Government Denis Manturov took part in a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy, which was chaired by the committee’s chairman Andrey Kutepov.
Denis Manturov noted that cooperation with senators allows for making decisions that contribute to stability, the development of the country’s economy as a whole, and various industrial sectors.
“Amid a complex geopolitical situation and a rather tight monetary policy, the Government finds solutions to support the economy at a systemic level. In particular, when certain challenges arise, measures are taken depending on the needs of the real sector,” said Denis Manturov.
“We will continue to provide targeted support measures. We expect that we, along with the senators, will continue to be consistently jointly involved in the legislative process,” he added.
The First Deputy Prime Minister also answered questions. Vitaly Korolyov, the governor of the Tver region who participated in the meeting, touched on the topic of maintaining the stability of the region’s industry in difficult conditions and providing additional support measures to ensure production modernization. Denis Manturov expressed his willingness to work through these issues in cooperation with the relevant agencies.
During the committee meeting, issues of sectoral support were discussed, including light industry and metallurgy.
