Tatyana Golikova took part in the solemn ceremony of presenting the “Pushkin Card. Award”
The ceremony for the “Pushkin Card. Award” took place at the Russian Academic Youth Theater. The awards were given to cultural institutions and regions that made a significant contribution to the development of the program.
Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova addressed the participants of the ceremony.
“It is very important that the ‘Pushkin Card’ is not just a tool, but a choice made by young people, voting with their money for this or that work of art, for this or that event. And this directs our cultural institutions to create meaningful works on stage and in cinema, in order to bring the best traditions and the best content into this world and into the world of youth. There are 12,000 cultural institutions, a million events, 170 million tickets. Cinema leads with 37%. But still, theater – both large theaters located in major cities and small cultural institutions, including club ones, if you add these two figures together, that’s 35%, and these are good indicators,” said the deputy prime minister.
