Dear friends! Esteemed colleagues!

I am pleased to welcome all the laureates and guests participating in the award ceremony of the “Pushkin Card”.

This unique educational program has been operating for five years. More than 13 million young people aged 14 to 22 receive annually from the government 5,000 rubles to attend plays, concerts, museums, exhibitions, excursions, and many other significant events.

Let me remind you that this project was implemented at the initiative of the head of state. The President has repeatedly emphasized that it is necessary to tell children, teenagers, and young people more deeply and systematically about the contribution of Russian art, our great masters of different eras, to world culture. This is a very important element of education.

The “Pushkin Card” contributes to the education of younger generations, thanks to which young people discover our rich heritage, learn more about the history and national traditions of Russia, broaden their horizons, and try their hand in the creative workshops of educational organizations.

Each year, the number of events available to holders of this card is increasing. Thanks in part to this, the cultural sector has received additional funding totaling over 58 billion rubles.

And behind every successful event, of course, stands the enormous effort of cultural workers. To honor your talents, this award was created, which will be presented today for the third time.

Starting this year, the number of nominations has been expanded to recognize your achievements at all levels and across the country. Special appreciation goes to the attention given to patriotic education of youth, to the formation of a civic stance and responsibility for the fate of the Motherland. This approach is undoubtedly an important part of the work on implementing the national development goals set before us by the head of state.

I want to thank you for what you do for the younger generations, for your sincere care and warmth.

Congratulations to all the laureates and I wish you continued success in your work.
