The State University of Management presented a concept of a unified digital system that will allow monitoring the work and rest schedule of drivers using a smartphone.
Alisa Sukhomlinova, Maya Kostyukova, and Sofya Fomina – third-year students of the Department of Logistics and Supply Chain Management at GSOM – spoke at the 25th International Automotive Scientific Forum MANF-2026. The topic of their report was “An Analysis of Foreign and Russian Experiences in Digital Monitoring of Drivers’ Work and Rest Regimes Using Tachography.”
By studying the experience of Russia, Europe, the USA, China, and Brazil, the students not only identified the shortcomings of existing systems but also presented their own research project – FGIS KRTiO (Federal State Information System for Monitoring the Work and Rest Regime of Drivers).
This is a concept of a unified digital system that will allow monitoring drivers’ work and rest schedules using a smartphone and automated data processing. The system is intended to gradually replace expensive equipment, in particular devices like the tachograph, which do not always provide effective control.
MANF-2026 has become a traditional platform where science meets the real economy sector. Participation allows GUU to demonstrate its competencies and keep a finger on the pulse of the current challenges facing the automotive industry.
