Project “Youth of Moscow” — is a launchpad for career development, personal growth, and expanding the professional skills of young people. Students of the capital’s colleges are invited to become part of the project’s ambassador team. They will be able to develop leadership qualities, implement their own initiatives, find like-minded people, and participate in organizing city events. You can learn more about the project’s ambassadors and join the team in the group “Youth of Moscow” on the social network “VKontakte.”
“Ambassadors of the ‘Youth of Moscow’ project are active, caring, and eager to develop young people. It is precisely such initiative youth who are building the future of our city. We organize educational trainings for the youth so that they can gain their first experience in social project management and contribute to the development of the capital,” noted Margarita Savinkina, head of the ‘Youth of Moscow’ project.
After submitting an application, candidates will receive an invitation to an in-person interview. At the meeting, they will talk about themselves, their interests, and motivation, while project representatives will assess how ready the future ambassador is for this role at their educational institution. Those who pass the selection will be the first to learn about opportunities and youth support programs, including internships, forums, volunteer campaigns, and competitions, and will also form teams of like-minded individuals at their educational institutions. These teams help organize events at the college venue and engage peers in city projects.
In addition, ambassadors participate in educational intensives and field trips so that students can practice the project journey from idea to implementation. The program includes training on public speaking, audience engagement, and social project design. This format allows participants to be among like-minded people and learn teamwork.
Currently, among the ambassadors there are representatives from the college of the Russian State Social University, the college of modern technologies named after Hero of the Soviet Union M.F. Panov, the college of the Russian State University named after A.N. Kosygin (Technology. Design. Art), and other educational institutions.
Unique experience
Elizaveta Nedomets, a third-year student at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs College of the Russian Federation, began her journey in the project in May of this year. She is studying to be a lawyer and, at the same time, is engaged in public speaking. Primarily within the framework of the project, she wanted to gain experience in event organization and public speaking, as well as learn how to implement shared ideas with her peers.
“For me, the role of ambassador provides the opportunity to communicate with experts in various fields, real experience for my portfolio and recognition, as well as access to forums and internships. Here, I can also influence youth policy, taking into account the requests of students. That’s why I prepared thoroughly for the interview to participate in the project,” shared Elizaveta Nedomets.
In her new role, the student was able to participate in organizing a unique photo tour inspired by Mikhail Bulgakov’s novel “The Master and Margarita.” Participants followed two thematic routes tracing the main characters’ paths and learned historical facts about locations related to the plot of the work, as well as completed tasks. The tour brought together literature enthusiasts and allowed them to see familiar city streets in a new light.
Scale and new opportunities
Another member of the ambassador team is Matvey Suzdalyev, a third-year student at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Moscow Humanities and Technology University College — Moscow Architectural and Construction Institute. The young man became acquainted with the project in the autumn of 2025. It attracted Matvey with its scale and the opportunities it opens up for young professionals.
Matvey Suzdalev emphasized that the role of an ambassador is primarily a social elevator, an opportunity to meet like-minded people and to influence the city’s youth policy. Before the interview, he analyzed his achievements over the past few years and highlighted the most significant cases to clearly demonstrate his competence.
Matvey has already gained practical experience in organizing large-scale events as an ambassador. Thus, the student acted as the organizer of the family festival “Your Colors,” dedicated to the celebration of the Day of the State Flag of the Russian Federation, which took place at Tverskaya Square. Visitors were offered an interactive historical quiz, a concert program with creative performances, a prize draw, as well as a flash mob featuring the traditional folk dance “Moscow Quadrille.”
