Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin held a working meeting with the governor of the Belgorod region, Alexander Shuvaev. The parties discussed current issues of the region’s development and support.
“The Belgorod region is a region that, despite the complex operational situation, demonstrates stability. 21 key settlements have been identified, where more than 900 thousand people live. This is the framework around which further work on the development of territories under the national project ‘Infrastructure for Life’ will be built; the main work on improving the quality of the living environment will be focused there. In the first 9 months of this year, 650 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned in the Belgorod region, which is 10% higher than the same period last year. Within the framework of the comprehensive territorial development mechanism, which allows for qualitative renewal of urban development, 13 sites totaling 291.4 hectares have been designated, and 12 CRT projects have begun implementation. Work on road development continues. The length of the region’s routes is more than 20 thousand km, of which 69.4% meet regulatory requirements, and the share of the backbone network meeting standards has reached 83.15%. I thank the governor of the region, Aleksandr Mikhailovich Shuvaev, for the enhanced work. The main thing is to use all available tools that will help the region develop under these challenging circumstances,” said Marat Khusnullin.
In addition, systematic work on the renewal of public transport is being carried out in the Belgorod region. Thanks to federal support measures, more than 260 new buses were delivered to the region from 2020 to 2026.

The meeting also included a detailed discussion of issues related to assisting citizens who have lost their homes, co-financing of capital repair and construction projects, and the implementation of the communal infrastructure modernization program.
