The war in Sudan continues to escalate, and the parties show no real willingness to compromise or negotiate a ceasefire. This was stated on Friday in the Security Council by the UN Deputy Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Peacebuilding, Rosemary DiCarlo. She called on the parties to immediately stop using drones: drone strikes remain this year’s leading cause of death and injury among civilians.
