The automobile plant of PJSC “KAMAZ” became one of the first productions to invite schoolchildren as guests as part of the annual All-Russian campaign “Week Without Turnstiles”.
This year, the event runs from April 13 to 19 on the initiative of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia. As part of this project, the kids visit the factories and divisions of KAMAZ. Thus, ninth graders from boarding school No. 31 visited the automobile plant, where they saw how a car is assembled.“We want to help the kids understand which professions are in demand at the factory and what each worker of the main assembly line does”, – told about the purpose of holding such actionsLeading specialist of the personnel department of the automobile factory Tatyana Nuretdinova. –We are always happy to see schoolchildren and students at our factory and gladly answer their questions: workers are often interested in where they studied that or another profession, what prospects [it offers].
Before the excursion, the children were given bright vests, helmets, and headphones. Together with the experienced guide Vladimir Yusipeev, they went to the production site. The guests walked along the cabin assembly line, the automobile assembly line, peeked into the completion and car handover area. The schoolchildren also attended a master class where they tried themselves in the role of MSR locksmiths and assembled an electric motor for the heating system — they put on a rubber gasket, pulled a flange to the electric motor with the help of nuts, and installed the impeller. The assembled equipment will be sent to the cabin assembly site.
“You won’t be able to perfectly tighten everything with a screwdriver the first time, but if you practice, there’s nothing difficult about it. This is the first time I’ve held such a tool in my hand. But it looks like a screwdriver that’s easy to work with.”, – commentedTourist Makar Ignatyev.
“I am on the ‘KAMAZ’ for the first time. On the tour, I remembered the overhead conveyor with cabins for various KAMAZ models. As you move along, more and more elements appear on the cabin, and then it is ready to be installed on the truck frame. Here at the factory, everything works like clockwork, and that impressed me.”, – shared his impressionsNikita Lazarev.
At the end of the tour, the kids had the opportunity to take pictures in front of the KAMAZ-54901 tractor truck and sit behind the wheel.
