A lecture titled “Reverse Engineering” was held at the State University of Management, organized for high school students in grades 10-11 as part of the Advanced Engineering School project “RosGeoTech” based at the Grozny State Oil Technical University named after Academician M.D. Millionshchikov.

Andrey Luzhetsky, head of the Advanced Engineering School, and Maxim Pletnev, head of the Research Coordination Department at the State University of Management, who introduced the students to the “RosGeoTech” program, addressed the participants with welcoming remarks.

The lecture was given by Maksim Koshkarev, a technician at the Center for Engineering Project Management at GUU. He introduced the schoolchildren to what reverse engineering is (studying a finished product in order to understand its design and create an analogue). Using examples, he talked about the practical benefits of this field for various sectors of the economy.

Then Maxim focused attention on the relevance of reverse engineering for Russia’s agro-industrial complex, and on the importance of using such technologies to address import substitution challenges.

The lecture became part of the work to engage schoolchildren in the Advanced Engineering School “RosGeoTech” project, aimed at training future specialists in the field of engineering sciences.
