Macroeconomic statistics for July – August indicate that economic activity is moderately increasing despite temporary production constraints. At the same time, heterogeneity across sectors persists.
Seasonally adjusted consumer price growth slowed in September compared to the summer months. At the same time, it remained significantly above the target of the Bank of Russia.
For a sustainable slowdown in consumer price growth and a return of inflation to 4% by 2027, calibrated decisions on the further trajectory of the key rate are necessary.
