Almaty, April 17 /Xin Hua/ — In January-March 2026, the volume of investments in fixed capital amounted to 3.46 trillion tenge (about 7.34 billion US dollars), which is 6.4% more than in January-March 2025. This was reported on Friday by the information agency Kazinform with reference to data from the Bureau of National Statistics.
The key driver was the non-commodity sector, where investments excluding budgetary funds amounted to 2.31 trillion tenge /about 4.9 billion dollars/.
The largest volume of investments was in industry amounting to 1.5 trillion tenge /3.18 billion dollars/. The average investment per capita increased by 5.3 percent and amounted to 168.8 thousand tenge /about 358 dollars/.
