UN Secretary-General António Guterres on Tuesday presented to member states the draft budget for the Organization’s programs for 2027. The proposed budget amount is 3.302 billion dollars. It provides for the retention of 11,150 posts. Including expenses for major construction projects in Nairobi, where part of the staff has been relocated from New York, and the strategic heritage conservation plan in Geneva, the total budget volume reaches 3.408 billion dollars. This is 1.2 percent, or 40.8 million dollars, less than the approved budget for 2026.
